I trained in medicine at St Andrew's and Manchester University. I completed my postgraduate training in gastroenterology in Edinburgh and Los Angeles. I am an accredited Specialist in gastroenterology, dealing with a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease and other diarrhoeal conditions, gastrointestinal bleeding and upper GI cancer. I also have an interest in endoscopy including video capsule endoscopy.

I work in Spire Shawfair Park's endoscopy suite which holds JAG accreditation.
