I am a Consultant Cardiologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood Essex, offering private cardiology care. I see all general cardiology patients, including patients with chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, hypertension and high cholesterol.

I am skilled in cardiac procedures including coronary angiography and angioplasty (especially transradial coronary interventional procedures). I am Consultant-in-Charge of the Transoesophageal Echocardiography service at Barts and The London NHS Trust – London Chest Hospital, and have performed in excess of 1,000 of such procedures. I undertake advanced cardiac imaging – including three dimensional echocardiography. I perform emergency coronary intervention procedures as part of the Heart Attack Centre at the London Chest Hospital. This is the largest unit in the UK for emergency coronary angioplasty treatment for heart attack patients.

I am actively involved in training other cardiologists, general practitioners and specialists nurse practitioners. I am Training Supervisor for Diploma in Cardiology.

I trained as a doctor at University College Hospital, London and undertook my cardiology training at London Teaching hospitals – The Royal Brompton Hospital, London Chest Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.

I am accredited by the General Medical Council (United Kingdom) in both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine (GMC Specialist Register). I was awarded NHS Clinical Excellence Awards in 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2012. My contribution to the cardiology scientific literature covers a wide range of disciplines including coronary artery disease, coronary intervention, cardiac imaging (especially transoesophageal echocardiography) and cardiac arrhythmias.
