Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with more than 20 years of experience working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I am Lead of the Gynaecology Emergency Unit and Early Pregnancy at Queens hospital, which is one of the busiest units in London and allows me to conduct research and training in the unit. I am Lead Trainer for Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy ultrasound for the trainee doctors.Â
After working in challenging conditions in India and Nepal, I came to the UK and trained in sought after London deaneries. My area of expertise is acute gynaecology and early pregnancy, recurrent miscarriages, gynae scanning, hysteroscopic surgery.
I run a dedicated specialised vulvar clinic where I assess and treat a wide range of vulval conditions. I treat period problems, fibroids, polycystic ovaries, post menopausal symptoms, prolapse and patients having difficulty in getting pregnant. I have a busy NHS practice at Queen's Hospital. My motto is patients first and I keep the patient in the centre of everything that I do so my treatment is tailor-made for all individual patients.
I offer outpatient management of miscarriage with MVA. My special interest is managing cases with recurrent miscarriage and help them achieve normal pregnancies and take the baby home. I offer 2D as well as 3D vaginal scanning. I do laparoscopic surgery for treatment of ovarian cyst, mild to moderate endometriosis, polycystic ovary, chronic pelvic pain, sterilisation and salpingectomy. I do all hysteroscopic surgery outpatient as well as inpatient including TCRF, resection of septum, polypectomy, myosure, endometrial ablation. I do smear tests, colposcopy, LLETZ procedure and vulvoscopy and vulval biopsies. I do hysterectomy, myomectomy, cervical cerclage and labioplasty in cases where indicated. I try to offer a practical and sensible approach to gynaecological problems and issues, and I do not like to offer unnecessary investigations or procedures.
To date I have performed around 1,000 hysteroscopies, more than 500 hysterectomies, more than 500 laparoscopies, around 500 colposcopies and more than 1,000 transvaginal scans.
