I am a Consultant Rheumatologist with extensive experience and expertise in the management of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal conditions. I undertook postgraduate training in London (MRCP, UK) and higher specialist training (MRCP, Rheumatology) in Cambridge (East of England, Specialist Registrar rotation). I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in London.
I was awarded MD (higher doctorate assessed by thesis and viva) by the University of Cambridge, UK for original research on central pain mechanisms.
I am an experienced medical researcher and serve as a Principal Investigator for National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) portfolio adopted studies. I am a member of the 'Standards, Audits & Guidelines Working Group' of British Society for Rheumatology developing national best practice and evidence based guidelines.
I have more than 15 years' experience in the field of Rheumatology and I treat inflammatory and auto-immune rheumatic conditions such as Early Inflammatory Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Crystal Arthritis - Gout, Pseudogout, Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR), Temporal Arteritis (Giant Cell Arteritis), Ankylosing Spondylitis/Axial Spondyloarthritis, Osteoarthritis, Back pain, Connective Tissue Disease-Lupus (SLE), Sjogren’s, Scleroderma, Metabolic Bone Disease - Osteoporosis and Paget's disease.
