"The facilities and staff are very organised and efficient, yet have the personal touch to make patients feel comfortable. There is a sense of cooperation and commitment for a good patient experience."
I provide advice and management for a wide variety of complex and persistent pain conditions. My specialist interests are headache management, spinal pain (neck, thoracic and low back), chronic pelvic pain, shoulder, knee and hip pain, pain secondary to fibromyalgia, diabetes, peripheral neuropathies.
I offer a wide range of X-ray or ultrasound guided pain intervention procedures including injections for management of spine (neck, thoracic, low back), coccyx pain, chronic pelvic pain, joint pains including shoulder, hip and knee, headaches including Botulinum toxin injections for headaches, radio frequency denervation and pulsed radio frequency procedures for longer term management of back and joint pain.
I believe that optimum pain management requires more than injections and medicines. I work in collaboration with specialist physiotherapists and psychologists as required to provide a comprehensive approach including lifestyle modifications, complimentary therapies, advise on sleep, hygiene and breathing control.
I practice pain management full time and have a busy adult and paediatric (above 13 years of age) pain practice.
After working for 11 years as a Consultant Anesthetist specialising in acute pain management, I undertook advanced pain training in 2014 and the fellowship exam to be granted the qualification of FFPMRCA. I have also undertaken further training in management of common musculoskeletal pain issues. I am currently working as the Lead Clinician for Pain Management Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn and have practicing privileges at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.
