Dr Chris Sawh

Consultant Interventional and General Cardiologist

MBBS, FRCP

I am a Consultant Interventional and General Cardiologist, performing complex coronary intervention with stent implantation, right heart catheterisation and invasive haemodynamic studies. I use the latest invasive and non-invasive techniques and approaches to assess and treat coronary arteries.

I am also a general Cardiologist with extensive experience in a wide range of heart conditions including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, Atrial Fibrillation (AF), valvular heart disease, heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension and high cholesterol. I am also fully trained in Cardiac CT imaging.

I believe in open discussion, informed choice and consent. I take the time to make the correct diagnosis and ensure my patients receive accurate information to make the appropriate choices for their healthcare.

I have an active interest in medical education and regularly teach medical students and junior doctors. I am also a trainer for coronary intervention (PCI).

I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at St George’s University, West Indies and have multiple publications in cardiology peer reviewed journals.

I graduated from medical school in 2002, and attained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) whilst training as a junior doctor in Somerset and Lancashire. I commenced further specialty training in Cardiology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. In 2015 I secured a competitive Interventional Fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, Canada.
