"I practice at Spire for the excellent catheter laboratory facilities in the Manchester hospital that will allow me to offer complex structural procedures to my patients."
I am a high-volume interventional cardiologist working in one of the busiest centres in Europe. My expertise is in structural valve intervention and coronary intervention. I started performing TAVI in 2010 and have shaped the service and procedure both in my centre and nationally.
I am one of the most experienced TAVI implanters in the UK (>2000 implants personally performed since 2010) and have proctored/trained all major valve systems. I have performed 120 mitraclip procedures in the past 4 years. I have performed more than 2,000 as a consultant PCI procedures including 75. acute/emergency PCI procedures per year.
I am the clinical lead for trans-catheter mitral valve repair and a mitraclip proctor. I have personally trained several colleagues and fellows who are now interventional cardiologists in distinguished centres around the world.
I have an international profile with regular live cases, clinical research and lecturing in major meetings.
