I am a Consultant Neurologist at the Spire Dunedin Hospital, Royal Berkshire and Oxford University Hospitals. I see patients with all general neurological conditions and carry out nerve conduction studies for carpal tunnel syndrome. I have a special interest in stroke and vascular neurology.
I am the clinical lead for the acute stroke service and stroke thrombolysis at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and maintain close links with the stroke neurologists in Oxford.
I qualified in medicine from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena/Germany in 1997. I also spent time at St George's Hospital Medical School London/England, McGill University Montreal/Canada, University of Chicago/USA, Mt Sinai Hospital New York/USA, and Keio University Tokyo/Japan. I did my general professional training in London and my neurological training in Oxford. I was a fellow at the Stroke Prevention Research Unit in Oxford, where I completed my doctoral thesis.
I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Neurology at Oxford University.
