Virtual consultations:
I am a consultant Dermatologist at Spire Leeds. My main clinical interests are in the subjects of skin allergy, with the use of specialised tests, such as cutaneous patch testing and skin prick testing. As well as the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, I also have an interest in general dermatology - particularly acne.
I grew up in Sweden and India before moving to the UK to undertake my undergraduate medical training (MBCHB) at the University of Manchester. Having graduated from the University of Manchester, I then undertook my postgraduate training at the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; where I was rotating through various hospital specialties and culminating in completion of my medical membership exam (MRCP). I then went on to gain a National Training Number to specialise in Dermatology in the Leeds training programme, where I developed my interest in allergy and skin cancer. While in Leeds, I completed my Dermatology training (CCST) and also obtained my Dermatology Specialist examination certification (MRCP Dermatology).
In my NHS practice I regularly see patients with general dermatology and inflammatory skin conditions, including running a dedicated acne clinic. I also manage patients with psoriasis, eczema, alopecia, hidradenitis, nail disorders and other rashes.
I am one of the few doctors in the country to also hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with the masters thesis focusing on Competitive Healthcare Strategies in the NHS. This allows me to get a better understanding of healthcare management and use of resources. I am able to offer my services to healthcare providers looking to enhance their quality, efficiency and patient experience with new and innovative strategies.
I am currently one of the lead clinicians at the Leeds Centre for Dermatology in Chapel Allerton Hospital, as well as being the Lead for two large community dermatology providers.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Faheem Latheef at Spire include:

One of my main research interests is in the field of melanoma skin cancer, in which I am actively involved in a research project with the University of Leeds.

I am a sports enthusiast, including being a keen basketball and tennis player and also an avid reader of personal development and business books.
Having spent time in a number of different countries and interacted with people from all walks of life, I feel I am able to draw on these experiences in my consultations and am easily able to establish a rapport with my patients, allowing me to effectively explore their ideas, concerns and expectations.
