MBChB, MRes, MPhil, MRCP (UK)
I completed my neurophysiology specialty training at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square), The Royal Free and Great Ormond Street in London. I currently work as a consultant neurophysiologist at The Walton Centre (the only dedicated neuroscience trust in the UK) and qualified from The University of Manchester in 2010.
I regularly perform nerve conduction studies and electromyography to investigate the cause of numbness, tingling, pain and muscle fatigue or weakness. The tests can diagnose problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy and spinal nerve root irritation. They are also used to assess nerve injuries and diagnose more complex neuromuscular conditions. I also perform single fibre EMG, which is a test used to diagnose Myasthenia Gravis.
To date I have performed nerve conduction studies/EMG on more than 10,000 patients.
