Dr Ike Nnene

I have worked as a General Practitioner (GP) since 2006 and have been based in East Anglia since 2010. Earlier in my medical career I worked in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. My GP training programme included rotations in paediatrics, emergency medicine, medicine for the elderly, psychiatry and general practice. On completion of GP training in North London, I worked in North and East London before moving to Waveney in Suffolk to a join the GP Partnership at Beccles Medical Centre in 2010. I was a Partner at Thorpewood Medical Group, Norwich from 2014 to 2023. I am passionate about my role as a General Practitioner which is central to the delivery of quality healthcare.

I have a patient-centred approach and bring a healing philosophy to my work. I appreciate the importance of the mind-body connection and emphasise patient enlightenment in my consultations. I have an interest in mental wellbeing and psychological aspects of medicine, as well as men’s and women’s health. I integrate positive psychology and lifestyle medicine into my approach to helping manage patients’ problems. My experience in many clinical disciplines is brought into focus while diagnosing and treating the diversity of the patients’ health problems.

I started the Spire Norwich Private GP service in 2018. I offer full thirty-minute General Practice consultations, which gives adequate time to explore patients concerns. I can offer considered medical opinions on any aspect of primary care, diagnosis, or treatment. Being a private GP at Spire Norwich Hospital allows me ready access to specialists who are also based at the hospital. Follow-up appointments to review investigations and assess response to management decisions can be easily arranged.
