MBBS, MRCS, FRCR
I work as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The main focus of my practice is treating patients with joint and back problems, using MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-rays for diagnosing the cause of their symptoms or treating them with appropriate intervention. I also maintain my general radiology skills particularly with respect to cross-sectional whole body CT imaging and plain x-ray reporting.
I started my radiology training in Glasgow, accumulating general radiology skills before deciding quite early in my training to pursue a career in Musculoskeletal Imaging. My desire to excel in my chosen specialty led me to Kings College Hospital, London, as a subspecialty Musculoskeletal Imaging trainee for a year, at the end of which I received my certification of completion of my radiology training. I was then selected for two competitive back-to-back fellowships. The first was based at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, which is the largest soft tissue and bone tumour centre in UK as well as being United Kingdom’s leading specialist orthopaedic hospital. The second fellowship was based at McGill University Hospitals in Montreal, which is one of the largest healthcare providers in Canada.
My philosophy is to provide the best personal care for my patients by working closely with the patients and their physicians.

After travelling from Thornaby to Airdrie to Glasgow to London (living in both the south and north ends of the city) to Montreal, I am now settled in Leicester with my family which remains my priority and I spend as much time as I can with them when not working. My family includes my amazing, supportive wife and two young, highly active, extremely energetic, boys!
Besides family, my other passion is sports. I do as much physical activity as I can fit in my time, which includes playing football, and squash, running 5 kilometre on a fairly regular basis (23 minutes and 41 seconds is my best time), doing gym exercises at home and I have recently started cycling - and crashing - too! My goal is to stay fit and inspire my kids to stay active as well.
