I am a Consultant in Pain Medicine with extensive experience managing patients with complex chronic pain. I manage patients suffering from all types of short term and persistent pain in areas including the face, neck, elbow, shoulder, back, hip, knee and foot. I also treat abdominal-pelvic pain, fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome. I qualified as a consultant in 2021. I use a biopsychosocial model to provide patient-centred care to all of my patients.
I have first hand experience of chronic pain and the huge impact it has on one’s life. In 2016 I experienced a slipped disc which almost resulted in emergency surgery. The excruciating pain and leg weakness I experienced during my 1.5 year long recovery gave me an in depth personal understanding of chronic pain and the impact it can have on one's life. I use this experience to better understand and care for my patients. I am also a keen educator and am involved in educating student doctors, nurses and other colleagues about pain medicine.
I undertake pain procedures for facial, headache, neck, shoulder, elbow, rib, abdomen, pelvic, back, hip, tailbone, knee, ankle, and foot pain. I also treat patients with post-surgical pain and can administer intravenous drug infusions for certain conditions.
My special interests are orofacial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia, and hip pain. I use innovative techniques such as radiofrequency denervation, pulsed radiofrequency modulation, ultrasound guided injections and targeted injections to relieve the symptoms of various complex chronic pain conditions, including chronic pelvic pain.
To date I have performed over 1,000 procedures for pain throughout the body, including spinal, neck, and lower back injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, epidurals, caudals, nerve root blocks and treatments involving the dorsal root ganglion. I have performed over 100 radiofrequency denervation and pulsed radiofrequency neuromodulation procedures.
I administer several hundred pain procedures per year across my NHS and private practice. I have performed or directly supervised over 1,000 peripheral nerve blocks with ultrasound guidance, and have administered several thousand anaesthetics
I graduated with distinction from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School. I completed an intercalated BSc in Aerospace Physiology, achieving first class honours, and was awarded both the Pembury Prize in Physiology and the SAFE Europe award. I completed my anaesthetic training in Surrey, Sussex and London, with the exception of a year at the Toronto Western Hospital, Ontario, Canada, completing their prestigious Regional Anaesthesia Fellowship. I undertook my pain training at St Thomas', Epsom and St Helier, and St George's Hospitals in London.
I am a Fellow of both the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Pain Medicine, have numerous academic publications and am the recipient of Research Grants from the Association of Anaesthetists.

When not working I enjoy spending time with my young family, walking our dog Hugo, training in karate and clay pigeon shooting. Once in a blue moon I get to go surfing.
