I am a consultant in chest medicine at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private. medical care in our clean and comfortable private hospital. I see patients presenting with the full spectrum of respiratory symptoms including excessive sleepiness and snoring, chronic cough, breathlessness, allergies involving the respiratory system, wheeze, prolonged respiratory infections and fatigue related to the respiratory system.

I perform and interpret investigations such as bronchoscopy, spirometry, full lung tests, diagnostic sleep tests, respiratory challenge tests and cardio-pulmonary exercise tests. I believe in treating every patient holistically using patient centred evidence based care with particular emphasis on transparency and communication.

I trained in respiratory medicine in Wales and have been a consultant in respiratory medicine in Basildon Hospital since 2004.

I am the Clinical Lead for sleep medicine and pulmonary physiology at Basildon University Hospital and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. I am actively involved in teaching and training and am the Clinical Tutor at Basildon Hospital overseeing postgraduate education. I have a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education and lecture widely in secondary and primary care.

Cardio-pulmonary exercise tests done in the pulmonary physiology laboratory are widely reputed. I have presented at various national and international meetings on a variety of respiratory subjects and have publications in peer-reviewed journals.
