Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

A range of therapeutic models informs my practice, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and schema focussed therapy. I also have specialist training and skills in cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) and is currently training in eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). I takes a gentle and supportive approach in therapy and works together with individuals to explore which approach may be best suited to their needs.

Clinical psychology

I work in adult mental health and has a particular interest in working with those who have a history of childhood trauma/abuse, both individually and in groups. In addition, I am able to help with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

I have over 20 years experience working in the NHS and continues to practice clinically in West Lothian, where I have worked in Adult Mental Health for the last 17 years. Through my work in the NHS, I have extensive experience working with adults with a range of complex mental health problems.
