I am a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in breast and gynaecological imaging. In addition, I also undertake a wide range of general radiological work including cancer and emergency imaging.
Breast imaging: screening for breast cancer, assessment of symptomatic breast problems (e.g. lumps, nipple discharge)
Gynaecological imaging: scans for the investigation and staging of gynaecological cancers (cervical, uterine, ovarian), scans for the investigation of pelvic pain and menstrual problems including fibroids, endometriosis and adenomyosis, hysterosalpingography as part of infertility investigation
General radiology: chest X-rays, musculoskeletal X-rays (e.g. pelvis, hips, knees, hands), CT scans (head, chest, abdomen, pelvis), ultrasound scans for abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, testicular lumps, deep venous thrombosis etc
I am Academic Advisor and Editor (Breast, Gynaecology) for iRefer, national imaging referral guidelines produced by the Royal College of Radiologists
I was previously Academic Clinical Fellow in Radiology at the University of Nottingham and continue to have strong links with the research team at the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.
