I am a Consultant Cardiologist in the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This includes both the University hospital of Wales and the University Hospital of Llandough. I was appointed in 2017.
I am an expert in the management of patients with heart failure, heart rhythm abnormalities including palpitations and AF, cardiomyopathies and the implantation of cardiac devices.
I specialise in the management of patients with heart failure and the implantation of cardiac devices. These include permanent pacemakers, implantable defibrillators (ICD), biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators (CRT) and implantable loop recorders.
I also hold accreditation and regularly practice acute and general medicine. This helps me manage both general cardiology patients but also patients with a range of other related conditions.
To date, I have performed over 1000 cardiac procedures. My current practice involves the management of a range of cardiac problems in a large tertiary cardiac centre.
I am a Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University.
