MB ChB, MRCP, BPhil (philosophy), MD
I am a Consultant Neurologist at Spire Dunedin Hospital, the Royal Berkshire Hospital and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
I see patients with all general neurological problems and carry out nerve conduction studies and EMG for the investigation of disorders of the peripheral nervous system. I have a special interest in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, and am the clinical lead for Parkinson’s disease in Berkshire.
I am also chief neurologist at the functional neurosurgery unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. This is an internationally-renowned centre for deep brain stimulation to treat Parkinson’s disease, dystonia and tremor.
After graduating in medicine from the University of Manchester, I undertook postgraduate training in London at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford. I obtained my research doctorate in functional magnetic resonance imaging of the brain at the FMRIB centre, University of Oxford.
