MBChB, MRCPH, MPhil
A Malaysian by birth, I moved to the United Kingdom to read medicine at Sheffield University and graduated in 1998. I then obtained my membership to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health before completing my training in paediatrics in Manchester.
Post completion of training, I pursued further sub-specialty training in paediatric endocrinology and undertook a Clinical Research Fellowship in congenital hyperinsulinism, completing a postgraduate research degree at the University of Manchester (UoM).
I was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in 2010 and am currently the clinical lead for the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and disorders of sexual differentiation. I have also developed interests in metabolic bone diseases with a particular focus on skeletal dysplasias.
I am also currently the Guidelines Officer for the British Society of Paediatric Endocrinology (BSPD). In addition to my clinical role, I am actively involved in the training of medical students, junior medical staff and maintain a keen interest in medical research as Principal and Chief investigator on a number of collaborative national and international studies.

I love rambling in the Peak District and invest some of my energies in a number of church based community projects for the underprivileged and homeless.
