I am a consultant neurologist working at University Hospitals of Leicester. I have expertise in a range of neurological disorders including headaches, pain management and blackouts.
I specialise in Headache disorders (migraine), Movement disorders, Neuromuscular (muscle and nerve), Neuro-ophthalmology (eye movements, idiopathic intracranial hypertension), Pain management, Multiple sclerosis, Stroke, Epilepsy, Ataxia and Neurogenetics.
I studied Medicine at the University of Birmingham as a post-graduate and trained in various hospitals in both East and West Midlands. I trained in neuromuscular diseases at the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Centre in Newcastle and studied a for Masters in Genomic Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London. I completed my PhD in Cambridge studying genetic ataxias. I have received various prizes and fellowships throughout my training, including the Institute of Biomedical Science President's Prize as the top-performing student in my BSc(Hons) studies and the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust Clinical Research Fellowship.
I am the clinical lead for the genetic ataxia service in Leicester
