Specialises in
I am a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon specialising in deformity (both primary and post-traumatic). I specialise in patients whose jaws do not align correctly, either because of their normal facial development or because of a facial injury which has created this issue. I am on the specilaist list for oral Surgery with the General Dental Council and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the General Medical Council.
I also routinely extract impacted canine and wisdom teeth and normal dental extractions. My routine practice is the assessment of white and red patches of the oral cavity, lumps in the neck and facial pain.
I qualified in Dentistry from Guy's Hospital Dental School (BDS) in 1999 and then undertook Medicine (MBChB) in 2006 having graduated from the University of Sheffield Medical school. I completed my foundation jobs and junior surgical training in Trent between City, Kings Mill and Queens Medical Centre where I gained by Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS England) in 2010. I then completed higher surgical training in London, based at the St Georges Hospital, Kings College and Guys Hospital. I then finished my final years of training at Royal Derby and Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham and was appointed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS OMFS) in 2017.
I undertook a post training fellowship in Darwin, Australia and undertook a short consultant post in Hamilton at Waikato Hospital, New Zealand at the beginning on 2021. I was appointed as a consultant at QMC in October 2020 and started full time in July 2021.
My NHS Practice is based at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospital, NHS Trust. I also do one day a week at King's Mill Hospital, Mansfield.
