MBBS, (SIM = MRCP), MD Degree
"The level of service at Spire is on the high level. The variety of cardiac patients with all facilities are making medical practice safe and effective."
I specialise in heart diseases. I can do diagnostic coronary angiography and all types of pacemakers (simple and complex).
I have done thousands of diagnostic coronary angiography. I have also performed more than 1,000 pacemaker insertion including simple and complex cardiac devices.
Previously I performed hundreds of electrophysiology procedures including treatment with radiofrequency.
I obtained my cardiology training at St George's Hospital in London between 1997 and 2005. I obtained my MD degree from University of London. I was trained on invasive diagnostic and treatment including coronary angiography, angioplasty, and pacemakers insertion. I was also trained in electrophysiology to treat cardiac arrhythmia. Heart failure management was part of my training and therefore I was trained on pacemaker insertions and complex devices implantation (ICD, and CRT-P).
I worked in several big hospitals in the UK before, including Liverpool University Hospital, Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, and Hull Royal Infirmary. Now I am working at NLAG as a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at HYMS.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Nidal Maarouf at Spire include:
