I am a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
I specialise in the treatment of colorectal, lung and neuroendocrine tumours using chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted treatments. I have special interest in the utility of liquid biopsy in guiding the management of colorectal and lung cancers.
I had my training in Medicine from India before moving to the United Kingdom. I worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at The Christie Hospital in Manchester for three years and then moved to the West Midlands to complete my Medical Oncology Training. I took up the post of Consultant Medical Oncologist in August 2014. I am the Clinical Lead for Chemotherapy Service at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and treat patients across three sites (Worcester Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Kidderminster Treatment Centre).
I am the local Principal Investigator for various clinical trials and also work closely with clinical trials unit in Birmingham. I have publications in peer reviewed journals and poster presentations in national and international conferences.
I am an Educational Supervisor for Medical Oncology trainees attached to the West Midlands Deanery and am actively involved in undergraduate teaching and supervising nurse prescribers and practitioners at Worcester Royal Hospital.
I am also a member of the West Midlands Chemotherapy Action Group (CAG).
