I am a Consultant Neurologist based in Cambridge. As part of my practice I see a wide variety of both acute and chronic neurological conditions in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I have trained in medicine in London, and then carried out further specialist neurology training in both the East of England and the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square. I have significant research background completing a basic science PhD during my training.
I have a subspecialty interest in peripheral nerve disorders and see patients from across the region, including patients with inflammatory, inherited and other acquired neuropathies. I run a service providing immunoglobulin to patients with inflammatory disorders. I am also a director for the Motor Neuron Disease Care Centre in Cambridge, working together with a multidisciplinary team to help patients with this condition.
My career has also emphasised integration with primary care, working on new ways of communication with general practitioners for the benefit of patients.
I am clinical governance lead for neurology at Addenbrooke's Hospital and also chair of the East of England Regional Subpanel for Immunoglobulin.
I enjoy being an educational supervisor, helping to train the neurologists of tomorrow.
