I graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London and went on to complete my general medical training in London followed by seven years oncology training at St Bartholomew's, Mount Vernon, The Middlesex, and The Royal Free Hospitals in London.
I have been the principal investigator for national trials in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, renal cancer, and genetics. I have carried out collaborative research with the MRC Cell Mutation Unit in Brighton.
I have been awarded the ASCO merit award for research in radio-sensitivity.

I am currently the Regional Advisor for clinical oncology in the Oxford/Thames Valley Region for the Royal College of Radiologists. I am an educational supervisor for Clinical Oncology Registrars.
Previously I was Training Programme Director for clinical oncology with the Oxford Deanery. I have been the Trust Research and Development Lead. I hosted the 2011 UK and Ireland Prostate Brachytherapy Conference in Windsor.
