MBChB, MRCP (UK), MRCP (Dermatology)
I qualified in medicine from the University of Sheffield and continued my medical training in Nottingham while obtaining my membership to the Royal College of Physicians. I then undertook my specialist training in dermatology in the West Midlands, before being appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
I have presented widely at a national and international level on topics ranging from skin cancer to paediatric dermatology, laser therapy, and management of chronic skin conditions and have relevant peer-reviewed publications.
Within the NHS, I undertook general dermatology clinics for adults with dermatological problems such as psoriasis, acne and eczema.
I am a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team and am fully accredited in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers including mole checks. I am a trained skin surgeon and remove skin cancers, moles, skin tags, cysts and warts.
During my specialist training, I spent three months exclusively working at the paediatric dermatology department in Birmingham Children’s Hospital and now regularly treat children with eczema, acne, vitiligo, infections and birthmarks. I have a particular interest in skin allergy and set up a specialist skin allergy unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
I strive to provide the best care possible, based on the latest medical evidence and individual patient needs, and aim to provide each patient with a clear treatment plan after discussion of all possible options.
