I trained for five years on the West Midlands Deanery Radiology Scheme, successfully achieving my fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists and completion of training in 2013. I have been a Consultant Radiologist at University Hospitals Birmingham since 2014 and joined Spire Little Aston in 2016. I am a specialist in gynaecological, oncology and radionuclide imaging (nuclear medicine). I did a 4-month post completion of training PET CT Fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. I regularly present imaging cases at the Gynae MDT. I have my practitioner's ARSAC License to be able to practice nuclear medicine and PET CT.
I am highly skilled in transabdominal ultrasound (general) and transvaginal ultrasound (for all gynaecological disorders/fertility assessment). I report MRI of the gynaecological pelvis and MRI Spines. I report on all general and oncology CT scans. I am a specialist in gynaecological CT staging scans.
On behalf of Spire Little Aston, we offer a private nuclear medicine service at Good Hope Hospital of which the most common studies are: bone scans (for cancer staging), dynamic bone scans (for prosthetic loosening and infection), renograms (MAG-3), DMSA, HIDA (for gall bladder function assessment), gastric emptying, thyroid and parathyroid scans as well as DaTSCANS (for Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonian plus syndromes, essential tremor and Lewy Body Dementia).
