MBBS, MRCP, FRCP, MD
I have worked as a consultant in stroke medicine since 2006 at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals. I have a special interest in managing young stroke patients where the cause is diverse.
In addition to stroke, I have a special interest in managing epilepsy for a long time and have epilepsy clinics in Mid Yorkshire Hospitals.
I have keen interest in research and am hugely experienced in stroke and epilepsy research. Currently I am the principal investigator for a number of stroke and epilepsy trials that are being conducted internationally as well as nationally.
I have expertise in spasticity management doing Botulinum Toxin injections to manage this. This can be due to stroke or due to other neurological conditions.
I have regular TIA and stroke clinics in the hospital setting as well as an epilepsy clinic and have huge experience and expertise managing this for over 16 years.
As the clinical lead for the West Yorkshire Stroke Network, I am engaged with all necessary stakeholders both locally, regionally and nationally to improve stroke care within West Yorkshire. I am also involved in developing the lipid pathway within the region and provide specialist input.
