I have been a consultant in Pain Medicine at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board since 2015 and have about 10 years of experience in this specialty. I am an expert in back pain and nerve (neuropathic) pain.
Along with back pain and neuropathic pain, I have a lot of experience in spinal injections (facet, nerve root and epidural), joint pain and injections, migraine (Botulinum toxin) treatment, occipital headaches, fibromyalgia (chronic widespread pain), whiplash injuries, pelvic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, diabetic neuropathy and medical management of pain.
I have performed about 200 facet joint injections, more than 50 radiofrequency ablations, 1,000 epidural injections in both my private and NHS practice. there are numerous other procedures that I perform, these include - trigger point injections, Botulinum toxin injections for migraine, muscle pain and nerve pain.
I am the lead of cancer pain management at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
In addition to my clinical work, I am an educational supervisor for anaesthetic trainees. I am invited to teach at courses and meetings around the country and abroad.
