"Since Spire took over St Anthony's Hospital I observed a new 'can do' attitude by management. There has been a massive investment in infrastructure and equipment and our hospital now has second to none facilities."
I am a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist with many years experience in Ultrasound, CT, and MRI including arthrography and ultrasound guided intervention. I have a special interest in all aspects of Radiology in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Sports Medicine. Since my appointment as consultant radiologist to the then St Helier Hospital in 1981, I have served on several committees and have co-founded two public appeals that resulted in the start up of one of the earliest CT scanner services in the South East, closely followed by the installation of a state of the art MR scanner.
I specialise in all MSK radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures and have a particular interest in sports medicine. My private practice is centred at Spire St Anthonys’ Hospital where I attend on Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon.
To date I have undertaken several hundred musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional procedures including MR arthrography, CT scans for prosthetic complications, MR and CT based geometrical assessment of joints, and ultrasound guided joint and soft tissue therapeutic injections including ultrasound guided PRP injections for soft tissue injuries.
I have served as secretary to the Magnetic Resonance Radiologists Associations (UK) and organised several UK based and one International conference. I have briefly served as MR special interest group lead to the Royal College of Radiologists and to the Radiology Committee of British Standards.
For several years during my Consultant tenure I was also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital Medical School and Radiology Lead to Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. I have co-authored peer reviewed articles and mentored fellows from the Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Epsom.
