BSc (Hons), MB BS, MRCP
I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician with a specialist interest in digestive disorders. I have worked as a Gastroenterologist since 2013 and have developed a reputation for truly holistic care whilst offering the latest in evidence based treatments.
I regularly see patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, non-specific abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation disorders and those with concerns regarding GI cancers amongst other common liver and digestive disorders.
I am a fully accredited upper and lower GI endoscopist performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures e.g. polyp detection and removal.
To date, I have performed over 3,000 gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures with no serious adverse events and I consistently meet the high standards set by the specialty quality assurance group (JAG) including polyp detection rates and patient comfort scores.
I qualified from Imperial College and University College London Medical School with Distinction before starting my training in the North West Thames London rotation. I pursued research in IBD and quality improvement in addition to completing an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at St Mark's Hospital.
My NHS practice is based at the West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where I am the Clinical Lead for the Lower GI Suspected Cancer Pathway (TAS), Clinical Nutrition and Outpatients. I have published journal articles and received local and national awards for my work in inflammatory bowel disease and quality improvement and the Star of West Herts Award for Innovation and Development (2024).
My goal is to create a supportive environment where my patients feel heard, understood and confident in my treatment.
