I graduated from the University of Dundee in 1994 and subsequently trained on the Northwest Thames Rotation at Royal Brompton Hospital and St Mary's Hospital. I was awarded an advanced fellowship at the prestigious Ivy League institution of Columbia University in Manhattan, New York City.
My specialist interests include arrhythmias - the disturbance of electrical activity and conduction within the heart and I perform potentially curative interventional procedures for such arrhythmic substrates in the form of cardiac ablations.
I also specialise in implanting complex as well as standard pacemakers and very recently was one of the first operators in the world to implant the state-of-the-art 'quadripolar LV lead' for a patient with severe heart failure.
