I am a fully-trained dermatologist listed on the GMC specialist register and have been working as a Consultant Dermatologist for 19 years, covering the whole range of skin diseases.

During my training, I developed a special interest in pigmented lesions, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer and dermatological surgery. My research activity has led to more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

I believe in a patient-centered, holistic and individualised approach towards skin care as part of a healthy life.

I perform surgical removals of benign and malignant lesions from all parts of the body.

During my career so far I have performed well over 8,000 skin surgical procedures.

I am the Skin Surgical Lead for Dermatology at the Harrogate District Foundation Trust and am involved in the skin surgical training of young dermatologists.

I studied Medicine in Erlangen and Heidelberg (Germany), Barcelona (Spain) and in Phoenix/Arizona (USA). I qualified from Erlangen Medical School in Germany in 1995 and completed my MD here in 1997. My basic medical training allowed me to get to know Yorkshire with posts in Leeds, Scarborough, Hull and Sheffield.

I worked as a Registrar in Dermatology in Sheffield, London and Buckinghamshire and completed my specialist training as a Dermatologist in Leeds. During my four years at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, I gained specialist experience in all dermatological sub-specialties.

I held consultant posts in Doncaster and Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals before joining Harrogate and District Foundation Trust in 2009. I manage all aspects of skin disease.
