"The facilities and technology at Spire Hospital are latest and cutting edge. All staff are committed to achieving full patient satisfaction."
I am a consultant in pain medicine. I have extensive experience in managing patients with complex chronic pain. I manage patients suffering from all types of short term and persistent pain, including the knee, back, neck, elbow, and shoulder pain, as well as abdominal-pelvic pain and complex regional pain syndrome.
I undertake pain procedures for headaches, face, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrists, hands, rib, abdomen, back, hip, tailbone, knee, ankle, and feet. In addition, I treat patients with post-surgical pain.
My special interest is headache and orofacial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia. I use innovative techniques such as radiofrequency denervation techniques, ultrasound guided injections and targeted injections to relieve the symptoms of various complex chronic pain conditions including chronic pelvic pain.
I perform more than 1,200 pain intervention procedures per annum, the most common being epidural injections for back pain, facet joint steroid injections, nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablations of nerve etc.
I am committed to providing excellent care to my patients using a holistic, patient-centred and patient-focused approach to ensure the best management plan.
In addition to my clinical work, I also really enjoy being involved in training and education of pain medicine to trainees of other specialties, student nurses and colleagues from other sub-specialties. I currently lead for ultrasound guided outpatient pain relief injections and orofacial pain at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.
