I provide specialist opinions, investigations and management for a range of bowel conditions in children that include: gastro-oesophageal reflux, coeliac disease, feeding difficulties, inflammatory bowel disease, allergic bowel disease, dyspepsia, Helicobacter infection, constipation, other functional bowel disorders, polyposis condition and liver disease. I perform diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy and wireless video capsule endoscopy in children. Following my under graduation in India I had training in paediatrics at various centres across the UK with higher specialist training in Nottingham. Subsequently I completed my higher specialist training in Paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition (PGHAN) by gaining experience from Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Alderhey Children's Hospital, Liverpool and Manchester Children’s Hospital.
With my varied experience, I joined as a consultant at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital to provide PGHAN service to the North of Scotland Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition network (Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Shetland and Orkney islands) where I was leading on inflammatory bowel disease, complex enteral nutrition, polyposis and Hepatology service. After six years, I moved back to Nottingham Children’s Hospital based at Queens Medical Centre in 2016 where I provide tertiary paediatric gastroenterology service as part of a multidisciplinary team.
