Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
My main focus is accessible and convenient care. I ensure there’s enough time to listen to you and that we agree the best way forward whether that be tests, medicines or procedures.
I undertake remote video, phone as well as face to face consultations in London and Kent.
I have a special interest in the treatment of rhythm disorders of the heart and I believe in putting patients at the centre of their care.
I feel that patients get the best result when treated by a specialist and I no longer treat patients who have chest pains or heart attacks.
The most common symptom that my patients have is palpitations and this can range from an occasional flutter to a racing heart beat and shortness of breath.
An area where I have developed a particular interest is in treating patients who have suffered the effects of chemotherapy on the heart.
I believe in treating you as a whole and will work with you to get to the bottom of what is causing your symptoms. It is not always obvious at the outset as the tests that we perform in the clinic will just show a snapshot in time.
This is why I have embraced the use of wearable technology and can help you to monitor your heart all of the time, not just in the consulting room.
My patients always have access to me and my team and I have set up a private WhatsApp Heart Support Group where you can share your experiences and discuss things in a safe and closed environment.
I strive to ensure that I always have enough time to listen to you and am always happy to see any of my previous patients if there is a recurrence of their problems or if their symptoms have not improved.
I am able to offer a range of treatments from advice around diet and lifestyle, through to medical treatments and on to more invasive procedures such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
I graduated with distinction from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s School of Medicine in 1999, and trained in Cardiology in London and the South East. I researched the use of echocardiography to assess the effect of cardiac pacing and was awarded a research doctorate by Kings College London. I am accredited by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Device therapy. I am a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and the Royal College of Physicians.
My NHS practice is at Medway Maritime Hospital and at St Thomas’s Hospital, London.
I am currently Principal Investigator on several multi-centre international clinical trials to bring cutting edge research to patients in Kent.
