MBBS, MRCP (UK)

I am a Consultant Physician specialising in Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism at Hull University Hospitals NHS Trust. I completed my specialist training in Diabetes & Endocrinology in Wessex in 2014. I was appointed Locum Consultant Endocrinologist in Southampton before joining in Hull in January 2015.

With nine years of Consultant clinical experience, I specialise in pituitary and adrenal disease, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, PCOS, gynaecological endocrinology. I am skilled in treating diabetes and a range of endocrinological conditions such as thyrotoxicosis, hyperparathyroidism, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and obesity.

I established and chair our regional adrenal MDT, and as a core member, I make significant contributions to our regional Pituitary and Thyroid MDT’s.

Beyond clinical practice, I am a passionate and dedicated educator, serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School. I took leadership roles in medical training programmes and served as training programme director for foundation and internal medicine training. Committed to advancing healthcare, I have pioneered initiatives to improve services, from establishing MDT’s to authoring trust guidelines, devising pathways for managing adrenal incidentalomas, and participating in clinical trials through close collaboration with our academic department.

Currently serving as Clinical governance and Educational lead to our department, I am fervently dedicated to patient care and innovation, offering compassionate, patient-centred care at every opportunity, and ensuring high quality training is offered to our trainees.
