In 2014 I took up my consultant post at Barts Health NHS Trust as a Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in HPB medicine and interventional endoscopy. I qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 2001.
I provide specialist gastroenterologic, hepatologic and endoscopic care, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy). I perform several hundred endoscopic procedures per year.
I perform complex endoscopic procedures including advanced ERCP and have the largest published experience in the UK of endoscopic stenting for symptomatic gallbladder disease (endoscopic transpapillary gallbladder stenting - ETGS).
Having qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 2001, my specialist gastroenterology training was conducted in London at numerous centres of excellence including University College Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, King's College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. I am listed on the GMC specialist register as a Consultant in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine.
I undertook a four year PhD research fellowship within the prestigious UCL Institute for Liver and Digestive Health where I now work as an Honorary Associate Professor.
