I am a Cardiologist with special interest in the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease and am very experienced in coronary angioplasty and stenting for both stable angina and the emergency treatment of myocardial infarction. I have got particular interest in transradial procedures and treatment of patients with complex coronary artery disease. In addition, I have expertise in cardiac CT angiogram as a diagnostic tool in the assessment of patients with chest pain.
I graduated with distinction from the King George's Medical College, Lucknow India in 1992. I completed my post graduate general medical training and was awarded Gold Medal from Lucknow University, India. I began my cardiology training at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, including a period of clinical research leading to the award of an MD from Liverpool University. I then completed a prestigious and rare advanced fellowship in Japan, under the mentorship of Dr Takahiko Suzuki and Osamu Katoh, a world authority in coronary angioplasty. During this time I gained experience in chronic total occlusion angioplasty (unblocking heavy calcified arteries) and rotational atherectomy (unblocking heavy calcified arteries).
I took up a consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital in March 2012. I have been instrumental in starting Cardiac CT services at Frimley Park Hospital since July 2012.
