I am a Consultant Cardiologist, assessing and treating patients for all cardiology concerns and symptoms. I specialise in interventional cardiology, focusing on diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease, which includes performing coronary artery stent implantation.
My procedural expertise includes all aspects of advanced coronary stent procedures. This encompasses Calcium modification (intravascular lithotripsy and rotational atherectomy), Chronic total occlusions, Full percutaneous and hybrid revascularisation, Intracoronary physiology, Intravascular imaging (optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound).
I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Free Hospital in 2016, where I am the clinical lead for the Heart Attack Service and Cardiac Catheter Labs.
My primary medical qualification was from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College School of Medicine. I became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006, and completed my general and specialty cardiology training at King's College Hospital and St George's Hospital. I was awarded a PhD in mechanisms of vascular calcification from King's College London School of Medicine.
For the past 15 years, I have actively participated in coordinating networked care services for coronary artery disease throughout London, collaborating with various NHS organisations, through several NHS bodies including the being the Cardiac Catheter Lab Chair for the North London Operational Delivery Network, Deputy Chair for the Pan London Acute Coronary Syndrome Advisory Group and I'm a board member of the Pan London Cardiogenic Shock Group.
