I am an experienced Neurodevelopmental Consultant Paediatrician with over 25 years’ experience of working in the NHS. I am also a published author with special interests in ADHD, Autism, Educational and Social Paediatrics. I am the Clinical Lead for ADHD at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and Co-founder of School Doctor, a Social Enterprise for children and young people with neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders.
I am passionate about writing/ educating and has published a number of children’s books and parent information leaflets, utilising fiction to help increase understanding of ADHD and associated disorders in children and carers. One of my books has been translated into three languages (Czech, Danish and Lithuanian). I am the principal author of my NHS Organization's ADHD website (www.addmore.org.uk) and my Social Enterprise's free online neurodevelopmental information/ support tool for families, schools and professionals (www.school-doctor.com).
I have participated on several national and local neurodevelopment and ADHD advisory boards and a regular speaker at national conferences and workshops.
I have been invited by BBC radio Cambridgeshire to give a number of talks on ADHD and associated disorders. Through my consultations, writing and media work aims to enhance the profile of children and young people with ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
