I have a broad experience in gastroenterology and look after a range of gastroenterological disorders. I have particular expertise in managing disorders of gut brain interaction and motility disorders for which I receive regional and national referrals. I am also one of five physicians who run the Southampton nutrition support and intestinal failure service which is the regional referral centre for patients with complex intestinal disease.

I have performed in excess of 3,000 diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. I received specialist Bowel Scope accreditation in 2019.

I undertook higher specialist training in General Medicine and Gastroenterology in the Wessex region. Having completed training, I gained further experience by undertaking clinical fellowships in both advanced nutrition and endoscopy. I was appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist with a subspecialist interest in nutrition and neurogastroenterology in 2020 having undertaken clinical fellowships in advanced nutrition and endoscopy.

I have been elected to both the Neurogastroenterology and Motility committee and the Clinical Services and Standards committee for the British Society of Gastroenterology.
