I am I consultant cardiologist with expertise in all aspects of heart disease. My sub-speciality interests are in interventional cardiology (angioplasty and stenting of coronary arteries for angina) and adult congenital heart disease (including closure of PFO for stroke prevention.
My main research interest is percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO) or coronary arteries.
I have been a cardiologist in Nottingham since 2005. Before this I was a visiting Professor in Cardiology at University of Wisconsin, USA. I qualified in Cambridge in 1993 and trained in London, Nottingham and Leeds.
