I perform all aspects of breast surgery from reconstruction to asymmetry and cosmetic surgery. I also have a specialised field in surgery to correct prominent skin folds after excessive weight loss. I also run a clinic for Botulinum toxin and fillers and also for the evaluation and removal of facial and body skin lesions.
As well as being the Head of plastic surgery and Lead in breast reconstruction at St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospitals, my specialist area is in procedures such as breast enlargement/reduction, breast symmetrisation, lipofilling, tummy tuck, liposuction, body sculpting and corrective surgery after massive weight loss. All of which I perform at the Spire London East Hospital.
I have dedicated my training to achieve a high standard in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. I attended QMC (London University) to obtain a first class BSc(Hons) degree in genetics, then completed my medical degree St Thomas’ and Guy's hospitals in 1994 followed by a Masters degree at UCL, London. In 2007 I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in plastic surgery FRCS (Plast) and I'm listed on the GMC Specialist Register. Two fellowships fine-tuned my training: a year at Toronto General/Mount Sinai Hospitals, Canada, specialising in microsurgery, breast reconstruction and head and neck surgery, and another in cosmetic surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
I am head of the department at Barts and the Royal London Hospitals including the clinical lead for breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. I have a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in cosmetic surgery. As part of my practice at the Royal London I am joint lead in the reconstruction of the lower limb after trauma or tumour removal.
I have peer reviewed publications, co-authored book chapters and have been invited to lecture at national and international meetings on a variety of topics in aesthetic and plastic surgery.
I have a specialist interest in research into breast cancer. I am currently working with the professor of breast oncology to look at surgery for breast cancer and how to improve outcomes.

I have undertaken several charity events over the last few years. I enjoy road cycling and have raised over £3,000 for multiple sclerosis and the breast charity by riding the Cyclone in Newcastle and the Coast to Coast. My last adventure this summer took me up Mount Kilimanjaro and all four of us managed to raise £2,600 for the Multiple Sclerosis charity. To keep myself even busier I have an Arab Gelding from which I enjoy seeing the wonders of Epping forest.
