I am an Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon in the hand and wrist. My practice encompasses the breadth of orthopaedic pathologies of the hand and wrist including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, basal thumb arthritis, carpal and small joint arthritis and Dupuytren's disease. I have a subspecialist interest in brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries.
I graduated from Oxford Medical School in 2002. I trained in orthopaedic surgery in the North East Thames Region before obtaining my FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 2014. I completed my post CCT Hand Fellowship in Derby and was successful in the British Diploma of Hand Surgery in 2017, prior to being appointed as a Hand Consultant in April 2018.
I have completed an MSc (Swansea) in Trauma and MPhil (Newcastle) and have publications in military and hand trauma.
I am a Lt Col in the Armed Forces and have completed tours of duty in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and Mali. I have lectured and published extensively on the early and reconstructive management of combat limb and nerve injuries.
