I specialise in colposcopy and procedures of large excision of transformation (LLETZ) for abnormalities of cervical screening. I also perform cold coagulation procedure for cervical ectropions and post coital bleeding. I perform hysteroscopic procedures for the investigation and treatment of menstrual disorders eg endometrial ablation, resection of polyps/fibroids.

I perform laparoscopic surgery for investigation and treatment of chronic pelvic pain and resection of endometriosis in addition to total laparoscopic hysterectomy and laparoscopic excision of adnexal/ovarian cysts.

I am particularly interested in colposcopy being the lead for this service at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, looking after women with abnormal smears, or with symptoms of irregular bleeding and post coital bleeding. I am also interested in menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, endometrial ablation and hysteroscopy with resections of polyps/fibroids.

I have been in the field of Gynaecology for the last twenty years. Training in Sudan, UAE and the UK has given me a wide and varied experience when dealing with gynaecological conditions in multi-ethnic communities. I have gained a masters degree in Laparoscopy and Robotic surgery from the University of Anglia Ruskin UK that allowed me to provide a first class minimal access surgery for benign gynaecolological conditions.
