Specialises in
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist, trained and experienced in managing patients with menstrual problems, pelvic pain, fibroids, postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, and ovarian cysts. My hallmark is a personal commitment of an individualised approach to every patient, with comprehensive diagnostic testing in minimal numbers of appointments for early diagnosis and minimal access surgery for enhanced recovery, when needed. Another area of expertise is post-menopausal health and hormone replacement therapy.
My skill set is laparoscopic (keyhole) and open surgeries, practicing general gynaecology and specialising in endoscopic treatments to common gynaecological conditions, colposcopy and the investigation and treatment of women with possible gynaecological cancer. I not only offer, but am also a qualified trainer in the management of abnormal cervical smears and vulval conditions.
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), and a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG), as well as accredited by the British Society of Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology. I lead the post-menopausal bleeding service at NNUH.Â
I completed Postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology from the Wessex Deanery and have a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Gynaecology Endoscopy from the University of Surrey. I have a keen interest in research and audit and my work has been presented both nationally and internationally. I am also a personal advisor to medical students and offer medical student tutorials at the University of East Anglia.
