I am a fellowship-trained Spinal Surgeon with trauma and orthopaedic surgery training from the Welsh orthopaedic rotation and postgraduate orthopaedic training from Mumbai. My NHS practice is based at Royal Free London NHS Trust, where besides spinal surgery I am also involved in the provision orthopaedic trauma (fracture) care.
I specialise in treating spinal conditions like back pain, sciatica (leg pain), neck and arm pain (brachialgia) with minimally invasive techniques. I place huge importance to correctly diagnose each patient’s condition with a detailed history, accurate examination, and appropriate investigation. Thereby offering treatment options and my recommendation to match the patient’s expectations. We thoroughly explore alternatives to an operation like spinal injection, medication, and therapies before proposing spinal surgery. I provide established treatment methods and blend them with the most modern techniques to deliver effective care to the patients. I ensure my interactions with patients are sincere and they clearly understand their condition, proposed treatment, and expected outcomes.
I am passionate about training the future generation of orthopaedic and spinal surgeons in surgical skills and spinal conditions. Teaching medical students of UCL (University College London) and junior doctors fills me with pride.
I have published in peer-reviewed medical journals and also contributed to a textbook with a chapter on spine. I have also extensively presented at national and international conferences.
