I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for seven years and have extensive experience in lower limb total joint replacement and trauma cases. I specialise in hip and knee disorders including primary routine and complex total hip and knee replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery.

As well as treating degenerative disorders (arthritis), I offer treatment for knee injuries including meniscus repair, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and patellofemoral instability/mal-tracking. I have performed a good number of hip and knee replacements and also carried out arthroscopic procedures on knees.

I am the Orthopaedic Lead for the Rapid Recovery Programme after joint replacement in my NHS post at Basildon Hospital. This technique aims to improve patients’ experience of care and expedite recovery from joint replacement in the shortest possible time, without compromising safety.

I am also the Orthopaedic lead for VTE Prophylaxis at Basildon Hospital.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also proud to be an honorary lecturer at the Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, Essex.
