"I'm proud to offer my services at this excellent hospital. The first time I set foot in the hospital I was immediately at ease with how comfortable and friendly the environment was, and staff alike."
Specialises in
I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in the foot and ankle at the James Paget University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I am experienced and fellowship trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, with particular interests in arthroscopic cartilage regenerative procedures for osteochondral defects, sports injuries / instability / Achilles treatments, bunion surgery and other foot deformity corrections, including flatfoot and neurogenic foot problems.
I have a clinical interest in flatfoot conditions and treating sports ankle injuries, particularly osteochondral injuries (OCDs) of the talus.
I take great pride in my patient focused approach and recently scored an average 9.5/10 from a random selection of NHS patient feedback throughout the last year, with patients feeling listened to, comfortable and confident in their care. This rapport is essential to good patient care.
After graduating from Norwich Medical School in 2009, I completed my postgraduate Orthopaedic training on the East of England rotation, during which I was awarded Chief Resident status and 1st prize winner by the Judge Business School, Cambridge University, for my innovative project implementing the first app-based communications system in a UK hospital, featured on the BBC.
Following completion of training I undertook the prestigious Oswestry Foot and Ankle fellowship for 18 months, working with some of the world’s leading orthopaedic surgeons, learning modern and advanced techniques in the subspecialty of foot and ankle.
I am widely published in peer reviewed journals and have presented at numerous international and national conferences, being shortlisted in 2018 for the ‘Investigator Award’ at the British Orthopaedic Association Conference.
